With more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications and IT across Egypt and West Africa, Ahmed Abdelwahab is a recognized leader in mission-critical infrastructure and data center development.
Currently serving as Infrastructure General Manager at Egypt Post, he specializes in the design, modernization, and optimization of advanced data center facilities, combining deep expertise in telecommunications, electromechanical systems, and digital infrastructure.
Throughout his career, he has led major transformation initiatives, including Tier certification upgrades, energy efficiency programs, and the delivery of innovative infrastructure solutions.
Among his notable achievements is leading the design of Egypt’s first Tier IV-certified data center, supporting the country’s digital transformation ambitions. Previously, he played a key role in delivering the region’s first prefabricated Tier III facility and pioneering AI and Big Data-driven energy analytics initiatives to enhance infrastructure sustainability and operational efficiency.
An Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Ahmed also holds an MBA in Strategic Planning and is a frequent speaker at leading international industry events, including Mobile World Congress and Datacenter Dynamics Africa.
