Hosam Mohie is a Seasoned Data Centers Manager, overseeing certified and edge #datacenters at the largest private sector #Bank in #Egypt and #Africa.
He began his data center career in 2013 with an #IT background. By 2015, after successfully leading the renovation #project of a secondary site and establishing the #DC #facilities operations team, he was nominated as the #CIB Data Centers Manager.
In 2019, Hosam led the data center team to achieve the first Uptime Institute M&O (Management and Operations) #certification in Africa. Since 2021, he has been at the forefront of data center #transformation and #modernization efforts. In 2022, his team acquired the Tier III Design Documents certification from the Uptime Institute.
Following that, Hosam successfully managed the commissioning #process to ensure that the data centers met the stringent requirements of Tier III #standards. This extensive commissioning experience has contributed significantly to the operational excellence and reliability of the bank’s data centers.
Hosam’s renovation journey included the addition of a first-of-its-kind #monitoring and #operationsroom with a #videowall, enabling maximum #utilization of new monitoring and #control #applications for the DC #environment. He also manages a portfolio of sites with a combined capacity exceeding 4.5 Megawatts.
